After suffering a devastating loss to Canada in the gold medal game in Beijing four years ago, the U.S. women’s hockey team is in the midst of an epic revenge tour at the 2026 Winter Olympics. It’s been a rousing success thus far. After routing host nation Italy in the quarterfinals, 6-0, the Americans are set for a semifinal matchup against Sweden on Monday.

To this point in the tournament, the U.S. has hardly broken a sweat. The Americans have outscored their five opponents 26-1, and their shutout streak has now hit four games. Team USA has been a force without equal — at least through the quarterfinals — so Sweden will try to push the Americans for the first time in Milan.

That may prove difficult because the U.S. is loaded with stars up and down the lineup. The brightest of those stars has been defender Caroline Harvey, who has made her case as the best women’s hockey player in the world. Harvey is up to nine points, which leads all players and is a record for a U.S. women’s defenseman at the Olympics.

Alex Carpenter has registered six points, Laila Edwards has shown off her rocket of a shot on multiple occasions, Abbey Murphy is a speed demon and the goaltending duo of Aerin Frankel and Gwyneth Philips has been literally almost perfect.

U.S. captain Hilary Knight is still on the cusp of a couple records. Knight is currently tied for the most career Olympic goals and points for a U.S. women’s player, so one goal against Sweden would break both.

Below is everything you need to know about how to watch Team USA’s semifinal clash with Sweden, as well as how they got here.
