Analysis: Parrott and Doherty on third session of final

Ken Doherty, 1997 world champion, speaking on BBC Two:

“Wu found something from somewhere and he needed to because he was in big trouble.

“When things are going against you, you have to go back to the good memories and believe in yourself.

“He dug himself out of a hole and he’s got his nose in front again.

“You could see how he walked out of the arena, he felt 10 feet tall and I bet he can’t wait to come back tonight.

“When you look back at that session, Shaun didn’t miss much in those last three frames. Wu made his own breaks.”

John Parrott, 1991 world champion:

“It was a fabulous session of snooker. To get himself off the canvas and win the last three frames shows me more than anything that this boy has got the lot.

“He can give a punch but he can certainly take one.”
