How did last week’s team do?

Pep Roulette scuppered the double gameweek, with the team stumbling to 63 points.

And the new?

Caoimhin Kelleher, Brentford, keeper, £4.8m – Crystal Palace (h)

Since week 29, Kelleher has returned a clean sheet every other week.

Arsenal aside, there aren’t many strong clean sheet picks this week but this Crystal Palace side is unlikely to be at full strength for the trip to the Gtech Community Stadium.

They will have their minds firmly on their Europa Conference League final and manager Oliver Glasner is likely to continue his rotation and protection of star players.

Gabriel, Arsenal, £7.3m – Burnley (h)

If you’re not picking the best defender in the game at home to a relegated team then something has gone wrong!

Gabriel got 11 points last week including defensive contribution points (defcon) making it just once in the past eight weeks that he has failed to return – and that was away at Manchester City.

Myles Lewis-Skelly, Arsenal, £5m – Burnley (h)

Double Arsenal defence again only this time I’m going with Lewis-Skelly, who might end up playing in midfield for the Gunners.

Burnley at home feels like a stonewall cleansheet for Arsenal and Lewis-Skelly could earn more defcon and pose a bigger attacking threat from a central midfield slot.

James Tarkowski, Everton, £5.7m – Sunderland (h)

Another 15-point return would be nice from Tarkowski, after his haul at Crystal Palace last time.

The fourth-highest scoring defender, he has returned defcon in 20 of 35 games to go with the attacking threat he demonstrated last week.

And Sunderland have scored just once in three games.

Malick Thiaw, Newcastle United, £4.9m – West Ham (h)

Another defcon monster who has been on the verge of a haul several times recently with no luck.

Thiaw’s xG over his past four games is 1.06 with nothing to show for it.

West Ham have only scored in one of their past four games so there are chances for points at both ends for Thiaw.

Midfield

Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United, £10.4m – Nottingham Forest (h)

Fernandes needs two assists in two games to break the Premier League single-season record.

At home to a Forest side with nothing to play for, he could explode.

Casemiro, Manchester United, £5.9m – Nottingham Forest (h)

The Brazilian has scored in each of his past three home games for United.

It’s his final match for the club – what are the odds he gets on the end of another Fernandes assist?

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Everton, £5.2m – Sunderland (h)

If you fancy a differential pick for the last two games of the season then why not look at Dewsbury-Hall?

He’s affordable and has returned in four of his past five games.

Sunderland at home is favourable fixture for an Everton side chasing an outside chance of Europe, and then they travel to Spurs in a game where anything could happen.

Strikers

Erling Haaland, Manchester City, £14.6m – Bournemouth (a)

This trip to Bournemouth is so hard to call for a City side who stumbled on their last away game, the 3-3 draw at Everton.

But Haaland is in the goals, City are chasing the title – it doesn’t make sense to move away from him at this stage of the season.

Viktor Gyokeres (captain), Arsenal, £9m – Burnley (h)

Arsenal will see this game as a chance to boost their goal difference, given it could still decide the title.

Gyokeres has nine league goals at home compared to five away, and statistically there is a massive difference between his games at Emirates Stadium and on the road.

The Swede’s home xG is 6.2 compared to just 3.5 away and, per start, it is more than double – 0.52 per game at home and 0.25 away.

He also returned a 16-point haul in his previous home match, against Fulham.

Igor Thiago, Brentford, £7.3m – Crystal Palace (h)

He returned six points in his last home match – the 3-0 win against West Ham – but it could have been much more.

The Brazilian had two big chances, had three shots in the box and missed a sitter.

There’s a haul waiting here.

Subs bench

Bernd Leno, Fulham, keeper, £4.9m – Wolves (a)

James Garner, Everton, midfielder, £5.2m – Sunderland (h)

James Hill, Bournemouth, defender, £4.2m – Manchester City (h)

Rio Ngumoha, Liverpool, midfielder, £4.3m – Aston Villa (a)

Team total cost: £98.7m
