The Detroit Pistons host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday with a trip to the Eastern Conference finals on the line. Cleveland had a chance to close it out at home in Game 6, but Detroit kept its season alive with a 115-94 victory.
The Pistons are 5-0 all time in Game 7s at home, including a victory against the Orlando Magic in the first round this season. However, Detroit has never won multiple winner-take-all games in a single postseason in franchise history, according to ESPN Research. A victory would make the Pistons 5-0 when facing elimination this postseason, becoming the seventh team with at least five such wins in a single playoffs.
Meanwhile, the Cavaliers have won five straight Game 7s and have the best Game 7 win percentage in NBA history (minimum three games). Cleveland is looking to reach its first conference finals since 2018 and just third ever without LeBron James.
