Monaco great for Hamilton but no fairytale for Leclerc – driver ratingsImage source, Getty ImagesImage caption, Lewis Hamilton is now 15 points clear of Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc in the drivers’ championship, behind leader Kimi AntonelliByHarry BenjaminBBC Radio 5 Live F1 commentator in MonacoPublished19 minutes agoKimi Antonelli’s winning streak continued on Sunday with his fifth straight victory of the season at the Monaco Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver secured his first F1 Grand Slam – winning from pole position, leading every lap of the grand prix and setting the fastest lap – to extend his title advantage to 66 points. Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton was on the podium in Monte Carlo in second and has now moved above team-mate Charles Leclerc and George Russell in the standings and into second place. Here are my ratings for how the drivers performed across the whole weekend in Monaco. Kimi Antonelli – 9.5/10Stellar weekend. Never looked out of his depth and kept his head with the tricky race restart with 10 laps to go. A weekend the Mercedes driver etches his name into the history books as the youngest driver to win the Monaco Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton – 8.5/10Quick from the off and disappointed with a second-row start after qualifying. Ultimately, didn’t quite have the pace in his Ferrari to match Antonelli and a needless penalty nearly scuppered him. Overall, another great weekend for the seven-time world champion.Isack Hadjar – 8/10Great recovery from his practice crash on Friday and managed his engine issues well. Helped by the team pulling off a great strategy to jump him up the order for his first podium for Red Bull.Oscar Piastri 7/10Everything is just solid from the Australian right now. Another victim of the pit lane penalty fiasco but overall a decent points haul for the McLaren man. Liam Lawson – 8/10A quiet but confident weekend from the Racing Bulls man. Helped by the red flag chaos to score big points but always looked like he was on for a top-10 finish. Arvid Lindblad – 7.5/10Looked out of his depth at the start of the weekend but stayed clean in the race, and his go-long strategy paid off with a big points haul for Racing Bulls. Pierre Gasly – 7/10Good weekend to bounce back after some tough races for Alpine. And it could have been even better with a podium but a penalty for speeding in the pit lane is unnecessary and cost him. Alex Albon – 8/10Better weekend. Looked more on par with Williams team-mate Carlos Sainz. Played the team game even though he wasn’t completely sold on it and finally got some much-needed points on the board.Esteban Ocon – 6.5/10Felt sure he could have gone through to Q3 but even without that, was right there with and ahead of Haas team-mate Oliver Bearman and kept it clean to salvage some valuable points. Fernando Alonso – 7/10Of course it was Alonso to get Aston Martin’s first point, even if it was lucky. He still had to be there to inherit it. Also the save from him earlier on in the weekend down to the chicane was awesome.Antonelli wins Monaco from Hamilton after dramatic ending
