After five years away from MMA, Conor McGregor’s return was short-lived, as the UFC 329 main event against Max Holloway was stopped seconds into it after McGregor appeared to suffer a leg injury.

McGregor, who worked his way back from injury to return on Saturday, fell to the canvas after throwing a kick to begin the fight. McGregor attempted to continue fighting, but the referee stepped in and ended the fight just over a minute later, giving Holloway a TKO win.

The co-main event was also a brief contest, as Paddy Pimblett disposed of Benoît Saint Denis in 52 seconds. Saint Denis attempted an early takedown, but Pimblett made him pay, grabbing his neck and transitioning to a D’Arce choke to earn a submission win.

ESPN MMA contributors Brett Okamoto, Andreas Hale, Jeff Wagenheim and Dre Waters break down all the action from UFC 329.
