I was fiercely focused on this tournament and I will just take some time to reassess and decide what’s right for me and my family, but then also what’s right for England Netball. “I think it was important that we were transparent, that we were open around the interviews that will take place in the near future, but I just need to sit in this hurt for a minute and get over this loss,” she added.The day after Saturday morning’s frustrating semi-final loss to New Zealand, England tried to rally themselves to get on the podium but came up against a Diamonds team recovering from one of the biggest shocks in the tournament’s history.
Australia – who had previously been in every Commonwealth final and won the tournament four times – were stunned by Jamaica on Saturday afternoon, giving them less time to recover for the bronze-medal match than England.
