ByGareth GriffithsBBC Sport WalesPublished14 minutes agoWales’ 2026 Commonwealth Games campaign has been labelled a success after they won 31 medals in Glasgow, with nine gold, 10 silver and 12 bronze.Emma Finucane won the last of her four golds in the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome on the final day to bring the Team Wales medal haul to a conclusion as they finished ninth in the medal table.Wales’ most successful Games were on the Gold Coast in 2018 when they brought home 36 medals – 10 gold, 12 silver and 14 bronze.The streamlined Glasgow event meant there were fewer sports and medals to win.The 2026 medals include 11 in cycling, six in swimming, five in athletics, four in boxing, three in artistic gymnastics and one each in bowls and weightlifting.Team Wales roll of honour at Commonwealth Games
