The FedEx Cup Playoffs are underway this week in Memphis with 69 players battling it out at the 2026 St. Jude Championship and the top 50 advancing to next week’s BMW Championship. Unlike in 2025, all of the top stars are playing in Memphis, as Rory McIlroy committed to the first playoff event field after skipping the opener last year — in part because he starts down in 12th in the standings in 2026. The only absence is Daniel Berger, who was 60th but opted not to commit to the field in Memphis. McIlroy’s rust has shown early and often at TPC Southwind. He was 6 over through the first three rounds, set to finish near the bottom of what has become a 68-man leaderboard following the withdrawal of Robert MacIntyre. Though McIlroy will have no problem qualifying for the Tour Championship in two weeks, he will certainly want to put together a better performance at the BMW.Scottie Scheffler, who has not won since the first tournament of the season, takes a two-shot lead into the final round. He will play in the last pairing with close friend Sam Burns, and Sungjae Im is right alongside Burns attempting to make up their deficit and topple Scheffler before the day is out. No one else is truly in contention, though. Even though Scheffler has not been aces this season, it would be quite unlike the four-time major winner to cough up five shots to the remainder of the field.Along with players seeking a victory and $3.6 million winner’s share from the St. Jude Championship purse and prize money breakdown, others battling for the top 50 spots in the FedEx Cup standings remains a subplot Sunday.
Here’s how you can watch all the action this weekend.
