Kellacher is well aware his side face a major test of their credentials on Friday evening against a Partick Thistle team that look like potential favourites to win the division.

Mark Wilson’s Glasgow Jags have won both their league matches so far, without conceding a goal. They also only narrowly lost 1-0 away to Premiership side Hibs in the League Cup.

Caley Thistle fared less well in the capital on Sunday, albeit they were 2-1 up against Hearts at Tynecastle before capitulating to a 6-2 defeat.

So, is there really a chance of the Faddy fairytale coming true for Caley Thistle this season and a double promotion?

Kellacher stated: “I stated it to the players on Sunday, I say it to the fans – be a dreamer. Why not? What have you got to lose?

“I was always impressed with John McGlynn’s model, how he’s managed to do it with the [Falkirk] squad he had. He managed to do it, which was incredible.

“If we ever had the chance of doing that, I think it would be a phenomenal achievement from where we’ve come from and the dark days.

“I’ll never get carried away. I try and keep my feet on the ground.

“But I say to the players, go and dream on doing something like that. Why not? What’s stopping you from being the best you can be and be up there at the end of the season?”
