The Red Dragons have added three recruits for the Championship promotion push, which has started with 1-1 draws against Cardiff City and Watford.
Last summer Wrexham signed 13 players – and brought in three more in January – to help them go close to making the play-offs on their return to the second tier.
“Going into the transfer market this summer we stated we would look to add some quality, not quantity,” Williamson told Radio Wales Sport before Saturday’s draw against the Hornets.
“We have the foundations of a really strong Championship squad, so knew what we needed to be competitive and make a bit of a difference.”
