The odds to win the NCAA men’s basketball championship is essentially a dead heat between two of the pretournament favorites, who will first have to battle it out with each other in the national semifinal. Arizona and Michigan are both +175 to win the tournament, followed by Illinois at +400 and UConn at +550.

The Wildcats opened as very slight 1.5-point favorites (with a plus-money vig) over the Wolverines, but that line has since flipped to Michigan -1.5. Arizona is +102 on the moneyline, with Michigan showing -122. In the other semifinal, Illinois is a 2.5-point favorite over UConn, displaying a -130 moneyline against the Huskies’ +110.

All the teams surviving to this point improved their future odds from Sunday morning but none more than UConn, which rocketed from 15-1 to its current number after a thrilling upset of Duke, which had been +300 before its elimination. At their longest point on the live line, the Huskies were 16-1 to beat the Blue Devils. One Caesars bettor in New Jersey placed a $300,000 pregame wager on UConn at +205, netting $615,000.
