The 2026 Winter Olympics are in full swing and every day brings exciting competition and thrilling medal events. Wednesday marks Day 5 of the Milan Cortina Games, and the competition thus far has not lacked for drama.

Chloe Kim is chasing history, looking to be the first halfpipe snowboarder to three-peat. She was the youngest woman to win an Olympic snowboard medal at 17 at the 2018 PyeongChang Games and won again in Beijing in 2022. Dealing with a torn labrum, she will compete with 23 others on Wednesday in the halfpipe qualifying rounds for a spot in Thursday’s medal event.

Over on the ice, Madison Chock and Evan Bates will have a crucial day ahead of them, as they compete for a medal in ice dance, possibly at their last Olympics. Chock and Bates earned gold in team events at the 2022 Beijing Games and in these games and the married couple, representing the United States, are looking to add a free dance medal to their extensive trophy shelf.

Wednesday will also begin the men’s ice hockey competition, however, Team USA doesn’t skate until Thursday with a 3:10 p.m. ET game against Latvia.

The Milan Cortina Games will run through Sunday, Feb. 22, and in total of 119 events will take place with 245 medals handed out to the athletes. Fans can find the action on NBC and their streaming service Peacock, with an account or a cable login.

The Winter Games have eight main sports, with 16 disciplines. With so many events to keep up with, it can get overwhelming, but that’s where we step in with the overall medal tracker and daily schedule.
