But one a few yards away from Steve Clarke is among the best.The Scotland head coach spent a lot of Tuesday’s friendly against Ivory Coast looking around this place searching for answers.Instead, every time he turned his back on the action, Scottish managerial greats, David Moyes, Sir Kenny Dalglish and Sir Alex Ferguson were watching down from a lofty position in this amphitheatre.It’s just a shame Scotland couldn’t put on a show worthy of the splendid setting.Though officially the away team, Scotland were always going to feel like home in Liverpool. And, in an odd quirk, they set up in the home dressing room. No one is quite sure why.Maybe Clarke’s lot just claimed it first. Or maybe they got lost.
