After a legendary second round which saw him a record six shots ahead of the field, Rory McIlroy looked mortal in the third. He was 1 over par on Saturday — not a disastrous result — but many of his challengers were on fire. Cameron Young posted a 7 under, briefly securing the lead and ending the day tied with McIlroy for first at 11 under overall. Sam Burns, with a 4-under third round, is a single shot behind them.
