Tottenham winger Wilson Odobert will undergo surgery after suffering a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee, his club have confirmed.

The 21-year-old Frenchman suffered the injury during the first half of his side’s 2-1 home loss to Newcastle United on Tuesday.

Spurs mentioned: “Wilson will see a specialist next week before undergoing surgery, and will then commence his rehabilitation with our medical staff.”

It is the just in in a line of long-term injury problems for Tottenham, who are searching for a new manager following the sacking of Thomas Frank on Wednesday.
