By the time Selection Sunday arrives, there will have been plenty of movement in the projected field of 68 for the 2026 NCAA tournament regarding the teams that are in, as well as those looking to get in.
While our Tuesday and Friday Bracketology updates allow us to look at the race to March Madness holistically twice a week, results every day matter and can affect teams — whether they’re playing or not.

Here, we provide an inside look at the headlines and upcoming matchups that inform Joey Brackets’ calculations on any given night, as he projects the teams that could have their names called on Selection Sunday (March 15).
A couple of housekeeping things: This page will report every day around lunchtime, between Monday and Saturday. Games are listed in order of importance to bracket movement. A team’s projection on that day is listed in parentheses if not otherwise noted.

HEADLINES
Battles for a top seed: A UConn loss to Georgetown would open the door for Houston to grab the last No. 1 seed.
A chance for No. 1: An Arizona loss to Texas Tech would allow Michigan to become No. 1 overall by beating UCLA.
A bubble report: All but three of the 16 bubble teams are in action Saturday, so expect a fair amount of movement throughout the day and evening.
Injury concerns?: Caleb Wilson’s injury will not impact North Carolina’s seed unless/until the Tar Heels lose without him.
GAMES THAT COULD AFFECT THE BRACKET
Ohio at (11) Miami (OH). The undefeated RedHawks stay in the field if they lose only one game. Fri., 9 p.m., ESPN
(4) Texas Tech at (1) Arizona. Arizona is playing for the No. 1 overall seed while Tech seeks to keep its 4-seed. Sat., 6:30 p.m., ESPN
(4) Gonzaga at (11) Santa Clara. The Broncos are looking for their first NCAA bid in 30 years. 10:30 p.m., ESPN
(6) Clemson at (1) Duke. Duke would keep its 1-seed, but lose the ACC lead, with a home loss. Noon, ESPN
(7) Kentucky at (3) Florida. A 2-seed is on the horizon for the surging defending champion Gators. 3 p.m., ABC
(Last Four In) Texas at (Last One In) Missouri. This could be the game of the day (year?) in terms of the overall bubble picture. 8:30 p.m., ESPN2
(First One Out) TCU at (Next Four Out) Oklahoma State. This is a second enormous bubble game, this time on the wrong side. Noon, ESPN2
(Considered) Nevada at (Last Four In) San Diego State. The Aztecs’ hold on an at-large bid is tenuous at best. 10 p.m., CBSSN
(5) Virginia at (First Four Out) Ohio State. It’s hard to believe Buckeyes are still looking for their first Q1 win. 8 p.m., Fox
Yale at (15) Harvard. Yale must avenge its earlier loss to Harvard to regain the Ivy League lead. 6:30 p.m., ESPNU
