They are angling for spots in the FedEx Cup standings, which will determine their share of the massive bonus pool that is paid out before next week’s Tour Championship. That alone boasts a $40 million purse and pays $10 million to the winnerLast week’s winner, Scottie Scheffler, locked himself into the top spot in the standings, guaranteeing a $23 million bonus no matter where he finishes Sunday at the BMW Championship.
