The Cavaliers on Wednesday night picked up their first road win of the 2026 NBA Playoffs and are now one win away from a spot in the Eastern Conference finals against the Knicks. A 9-0 run and a controversial non-call helped the Cavs force overtime on the road against the top-seeded Pistons. Cleveland then closed things out in the extra frame and won 117-113 to take a 3-2 series lead with Game 6 back in Cleveland on Friday.
In the West, the Spurs blew out the Timberwolves 126-97 in Tuesday night’s Game 5 to take a 3-2 series lead as Victor Wembanyama, on the heels of his controversial ejection in Game 4, posted 27 points and 17 rebounds. If the Spurs can win Game 6 in Minneapolis on Friday night, they will advance to the Western Conference finals to face the Thunder, who completed a four-game sweep of the Lakers on Monday night.
