He will face either Kyren Wilson or Zhao Xintong in Sunday’s best-of-21 decider, with the second semi-final taking place on Saturday.
“It is always good to start quickly in Shanghai,” reported Trump. “Even though this isn’t a ranking event, it fills you with confidence as you are against the best in the world.
“It will be a great game between Kyren and Xintong. It should be an exciting final whoever I face. It has been a good tournament so far, but you need to get over that line.”
