Arrests after flares thrown in Europa League match15 minutes agoShareSaveGeorge TorrEast MidlandsShareSaveEPA/ShutterstockOfficers reported they made three arrests following a series of incidents during Nottingham Forest’s home match against FenerbahçeThree people have been arrested following Nottingham Forest’s Europa League home tie against Turkish side Fenerbahçe.Nottinghamshire Police reported an investigation was under way following a series of incidents including flares being thrown from the away end which stopped the game in the first half.Officers reported they had arrested a 37-year-old man after flare was reportedly thrown by Fenerbahçe fans towards the home end.The force also reported a 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a steward and another man, 38, was arrested on suspicion of going onto the playing area at a designated football match.Officers reported they received multiple reports of small flares being lit by supporters in the away end during the Europa League knock out tie at the City Ground.Forest went through 4-2 on aggregate.
