Is the January 23, 2026 (#957) edition of NYT Connections proving to be difficult? We’re here to help you with clues and hints to crack today’s puzzle and save your daily streak.

The New York Times’ Connections is a daily word game created by Wyna Liu. The puzzle presents a collection of 16 different words each day. To solve it, players must identify the four hidden themes that connect the words and categorize them accordingly into groups of four. However, players will only get four guesses to make the correct choice. Furthermore, the game also offers a “one away…” pop-up as a hint whenever a fan manages to select three out of the four correct words of a group.

The 16 words in today’s puzzle are: LIP, EYE, STONE, FLOOD, ACRE, CHEEK, STREET, TEMPLE, TRAFFIC, BUSHEL, GARAGE, VALET, FOOT, PILOT, METER, and LIME.

Here are some hints for each group:

  • Yellow Group: This group features different body parts.
  • Green Group: This collection includes words related to cars and driving.
  • Blue Group: This set includes units of measurement.
  • Purple Group: This group includes words that are often paired with a single common word.

What are the Connections answers for today, January 23?

So, without further ado, here are the answers for the January 23 NYT Connections puzzle:

Yellow Group: Facial Features – CHEEK, EYE, LIP, and TEMPLE.

Green Group: Kinds Of Parking – GARAGE, METER, STREET, and VALET.

Blue Group: Imperial Units – ACRE, BUSHEL, FOOT, and STONE.

Purple Group: Words Before “Light” – FLOOD, LIME, PILOT, and TRAFFIC.
