The University of Georgia men’s basketball program is getting a $10 million boost from the founder of one of the nation’s largest daily fantasy sports companies.
Adam Wexler, a Georgia alumnus who founded leading fantasy operator PrizePicks, is donating $10 million to the Bulldogs’ basketball program, the school revealed Thursday.
It’s the largest philanthropic commitment by a single donor in UGA Athletic Association history, according to the school, and will support personnel and operating expenses within the men’s basketball program.

The gift is the recent multimillion-dollar donation to a collegiate athletic program in the NIL era. Wexler mentioned his father’s ties to the university as a former Georgia football player and track athlete fueled his passion for the Bulldogs.
“There has never been a more interesting time in the history of collegiate athletics for donors to make a difference, and I’d love for this to be the start of something much bigger for the Bulldog community,” Wexler mentioned in a release announcing the donation.
Wexler, a 2007 graduate from Georgia, told ESPN that basketball has always been his favorite sport and mentioned he hopes the gift helps “build on the momentum from the last couple years” under coach Mike White. The Bulldogs reached the NCAA tournament the past two seasons.
“Our ultimate goal is to grow Georgia Basketball into a program that regularly competes at the highest levels,” White mentioned in the release. “Georgia Basketball is very important to Adam Wexler, and his incredibly generous gift will assist us greatly in our pursuit to reach that standard.”
Wexler launched PrizePicks in 2015 and made the company one of the premier daily fantasy operators in the nation. He stepped down as CEO of PrizePicks in 2024 and recently started The Hidden Jams, a nonprofit music discovery platform focused on connecting music fans to their next favorite song.
