Luka Doncic, Cade Cunningham eligible for NBA season awardsShams Charania
Lakers star Luka Doncic and Pistons standout Cade Cunningham are both eligible for all 2025-26 season honors such as MVP and All-NBA teams after the NBA and NBPA ruled in favor of their Extraordinary Circumstances Challenge for the 65-game award rule, the league revealed Thursday.
Doncic missed two games in December because of the birth of his child abroad, while Cunningham had a collapsed lung.
Minnesota Timberwolves’s Anthony Edwards filed a challenge as well and his case was advanced to an independent arbitrator, but he was denied and is not eligible for awards.
