The world champions rotated their side for the round three fixture, giving debuts to four players, but still eased to a seven-try 43-0 win.
The Springboks would have challenged their 73-0 November win in Cardiff were it not for errors in the 22, but Morgan insists Wales are closing the gap to the big hitters.
“I think we are – or at least we hope we are,” stated the flanker.
“You can see the progress we’ve made since the autumn.”
