FAW posts loss for 2025 despite record revenueImage source, Huw Evans Picture AgencyImage caption, The Football Association of Wales is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2026ByDafydd PritchardBBC Sport WalesPublished59 minutes agoThe Football Association of Wales made a loss of £3.4m for the year ending June 2025 despite posting record turnover.After making a profit of £1.1m for the year ending June 2024, revenue for the following 12 months rose from £32.4m to £40.6m.That was a result of increases in funding from sources such as Uefa, the UK Government and the FAW’s coaching education programme.Administrative expenses rose by nearly £10m to £32.8m, contributing to an operating loss of £5m.Net assets were £11.9m, with cash reserves of £16.1m, up nearly £5m.The accounts for the year ending June 2025 were available to view on Companies House from Wednesday night, two weeks after the FAW published a statement about them.The FAW described it as “a period of strategic investment and accelerated growth”, helped by the women’s national team qualifying for their first major tournament, Euro 2025, in December 2024.Wales to face Romania in summer friendly
