The 20-year-old came through the academy at Liverpool and, despite not making an appearance for the Reds, many have high hopes he could cement himself as a regular in Wales’ starting XI in the future.
Donning Wales’ 150th anniversary shirt, Lewis opened his Wales account on a memorable night for the Koumas family.
His father Jason was no stranger in front of goal himself, scoring 10 goals in 34 appearances for his national team.
Twenty-two years prior to Lewis’ great header, Jason got off the mark for Wales when he scored in a 2-1 friendly win against Hungary in Budapest at the age of 24.
With Bellamy seeing Lewis’ future as a centre-forward, and with time on his side, could we see the youngster surpass his father’s tally in years to come?
