Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Bradley Barcola from Paris St-Germain for a fee that is expected to be in excess of £100m.

Sources have indicated to BBC Sport that talks have progressed in the last 48 hours and a full agreement is now close.

PSG had valued the 23-year-old France forward at £140m but the total package is expected to come in below that figure.

The final details are still to be completed but the deal is set to be worth a minimum of £100m, which can rise with add-ons.

Barcola, who was part of France’s World Cup squad this summer, has become a main target for Liverpool as they look to add potency to their attack.

He is right footed and although he prefers being used on the left wing, Barcola can also play on the right or through the middle.

He moved to PSG from Lyon in 2023 for a stated £38.5m and has won three Ligue 1 titles, two Champions Leagues, the French Cup twice, as well as the Uefa Super Cup and the Fifa Intercontinental Cup.
