Inter Miami CF reported Monday that Lionel Messi suffered from muscle fatigue in his left hamstring during Sunday’s win over the Philadelphia Union, forcing him to leave the game in the 73rd minute.

“After undergoing further medical tests this Monday, the initial diagnosis indicates an overload associated with muscle fatigue in his left hamstring,” Inter Miami reported in a news release. “The timeline for his return to physical activity will depend on his clinical and functional progress.”
