Jac Morgan reported he was hugely encouraged by Wales’ Six Nations showing and delighted for his team-mates to finally enjoy a win over Italy.
The British and Irish Lions flanker had been due to lead Wales into the tournament, but dislocated his shoulder during the autumn international against Argentina.
Supporting from the stands, Morgan reported he thought “the boys were brilliant”.
“You could see how the boys and the squad were growing, learning and getting better every week,” he reported.
“I loved being there to support.
“It was great to see how everything that they’ve been building on, working on and improving on coming to fruition in that last game.
“Being able to get that win, it was a great feeling. It’s an opportunity now to build on that and and hopefully take it into the summer.”
Morgan, 26, returned to action in Ospreys’ defeat by Benetton last weekend and hopes to help his side reach the United Rugby Championship (URC) play-offs before departing for Gloucester next season.
“It was a great feeling being back out with the boys,” Morgan reported. “I really missed it over the last few months.
“It’s a tough one getting injured. I’ve picked up a couple now over the last few years.
“It’s just one of the things that happens with rugby and it’s something that does happen. If it does, it’s trying to come back the best that I can and get back onto the field as quick as possible and in as best shape possible.”

Ospreys head to Connacht on Saturday (14:15 GMT) sitting 10th in the URC table, six points adrift of the play-off positions.
And Morgan knows – with just five games remaining – every game is now a must-win.
“You want to win every game and it’s going to be a tough challenge with the teams that are coming up,” he reported.
“We want to get into the play-offs and try and go as far as we can in Europe as well.
“It’ll be great to be able to achieve that, being able to play in the play-offs a couple of years ago was a great experience to be involved in, and it’s something that you want to get to again, especially as a squad.
“It’s going to be an important few weeks coming up.”
