The San Antonio Spurs took Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the New York Knicks, redeeming their championship futures odds in the process. San Antonio is +160 for the title after entering the series at -185 and lengthening to +380 following losses in the first two games. New York maintains odds-on status at -190, but that’s a drop from the -500 it showed after going up 2-0. The Knicks were +155 coming into the Finals.
Editor’s Picks
Both teams were well supported in the championship futures markets this season, with Caesars Sportsbook telling ESPN’s David Purdum that each is a liability in the future book. The Spurs opened the 2025-26 season as 65-1 underdogs to win the title, which would make them the largest preseason underdogs to win the NBA Finals in at least 40 seasons if they were to follow through, according to data from SportsOddsHistory.com.
Jalen Brunson remains the favorite for Finals MVP at +105, but Victor Wembanyama returned to the favorite conversation at +165 after a bounce-back performance in Game 3. Karl-Anthony Towns is +400 for the award, then there’s a big drop-off to OG Anunoby at 35-1 and another to Stephon Castle at 100-1.
New York is once again a 2.5-point home favorite for Game 4, with the total set at 216.5.
Odds are provided by DraftKings Sportsbook and are as of publication.
