The New York Knicks punched their ticket to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999 and have the second-shortest odds to win the title at +210. The Knicks entered the postseason with 18-1 championship odds, trailing both the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers, whom they swept in the Eastern Conference finals.
Right as it looked like the Oklahoma City Thunder were going to run away with the Western Conference finals, the San Antonio Spurs struck back with a huge win in Game 4 to even the series at two games apiece. San Antonio is now +270 to win the NBA Finals, shortening from +450 before Game 4, while OKC has been knocked out of odds-on status, but remains the title favorite at +110. The Thunder are -180 to win the series to the Spurs’ +150.
Roughly in line with the team future odds, each squad’s superstar is a favorite to win Finals MVP. Regular-season MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leads the way at +120, with Jalen Brunson (+260), Victor Wembanyama (+300) and Karl-Anthony Towns (13-1) in the chase.
