June of the NFL offseason arrived with a bang. First, the Los Angeles Rams pulled off an absolute blockbuster of a trade by acquiring two-time reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett from the Cleveland Browns. Los Angeles had already been the Super Bowl favorite, but the transaction pushed them from +800 to +650, then further to +600. That’s well ahead of the second tier consisting of the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills at 10-1, as well as the reigning champion Seattle Seahawks at 11-1.

  • Hours later, the New England Patriots made a long-expected move for wide receiver A.J. Brown. Because the trade had been anticipated for some time, the Pats’ Super Bowl odds remained at 16-1, tied for sixth on the odds board with Brown’s former team, the Philadelphia Eagles. The Kansas City Chiefs occupy the fifth spot at 15-1, while the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Chargers both lengthened from 16-1 to 17-1 since mid-May.

The 2026 season will open with a Super Bowl rematch and the Seahawks listed as 3.5-point favorites over the Patriots. Caesars Sportsbook head of football Joey Feazel told ESPN, “With Seattle’s recent win still fresh in bettors’ minds, the public is likely to show strong interest in them again.”

Meanwhile, the Chargers are 11.5-point favorites over the Arizona Cardinals, the largest spread for a Week 1 game since 2012, according to ESPN Research. Arizona is dead last on the Super Bowl odds board at 400-1 and is thus far an underdog in every one of its 2026 games.
