Olympic medallists Alex Yee and Beth Potter will be competing at the World Triathlon Championship Series in London this weekend, and you can follow the action live on the BBC.
Paris 2024 gold medallist Yee returns after competing in marathons and more recently, the 5,000m in the Monaco Diamond League.
Fellow Briton Potter tops the women’s standings and world rankings after three podium places in the opening rounds of the series.
The WTCS represents the flagship elite series of World Triathlon, with the world’s best triathletes competing at iconic venues including the ExCeL London.
A further three races are planned for the season, which culminates with the finals in Pontevedra, Spain, in September.

Potter will be among the favourites to win on British soil, despite missing June’s Quiberon race in France because of altitude training and finishing sixth in the previous meeting in Hamburg.
The Glaswegian, who claimed bronze in the Paris 2024 Olympics, won the season opener in Uzbekistan and came second in both the Japan and Sardinia races.
Since delivering one of the standout moments of the Paris Games, Yee has experimented with marathon running – making his debut in the London 2025 race and then achieving the second-fastest time by a Briton in Valencia 2025, running 2:06:38.
The 28-year-old began his transition back to triathlon in Yokohama where he finished fifth. But the Olympic champion failed to finish the men’s race in Sardinia.
Jeanne Lehair – Luxemburg: Lehair has finished third in the first two races of the season and currently holds second place in the WTS standings.
Lisa Tertsch – Germany: Tertsch is ranked second in the world and led the series coming into Hamburg but was pipped to the post by France’s Leonie Periault.
Georgia Taylor-Brown – Great Britain: The Manchester-born athlete has won bronze in the 2018 and 2019 World Triathlon Series and won the one-off sprint triathlon race in Hamburg to become the 2020 World Triathlon Champion. She has also won individual silver at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and gold in the mixed team relay. She is in ninth place in the current standings.
Vasco Vilaca – Portugal: With two first and second-place finishes, Vilaca is proving to be the man to beat. He is yet to add a title to his medal collection but he leads both the World and Series standings.
Miguel Hidalgo – Brazil: Hidalgo was disqualified from the Hamburg race because he did not serve a 10-second penalty during the race for altering the race number on his cycling bib.
Oliver Conway – Great Britain: Conway made is debut in the WTCS last year and won the U23 Championship. He is just outside the top 10 in 11th place, having shown promise by finishing fifth in the season opener.
