Veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $8.32 million with the Indianapolis Colts, according to multiple reports.
A third-round pick in the 2013 draft from the University of California, Allen spent his first 11 seasons with the Chargers before the team traded him to the Chicago Bears in 2024 after a contract dispute. Allen returned to L.A. ahead of last season and was one of the Chargers’ most targeted receivers.
Editor’s Picks
He finished the 2025 season with 81 receptions, 777 yards and four touchdowns, and was quarterback Justin Herbert’s favorite target (and one of the best in the NFL) on third downs. Allen finished first in first-down receptions (29) and third-down catches (34), earning him the moniker “third-and-Keenan” from teammates.
Allen, 34, is considered one of the greatest players in Chargers history. He is 13th in receptions (1,055) in league history and is a six-time Pro Bowl wideout. He also has 12,051 receiving yards and 70 touchdown catches.
ESPN’s Kris Rhim contributed to this report.
