WWE continues to roll on with its loaded schedule for 2026 on Saturday night in Tampa. WWE Backlash reaches Tampa, Florida, with five matches set for the event, emanating from the Benchmark International Arena. In the main event, new world heavyweight champion Roman Reigns will defend his title against his cousin Jacob Fatu.

Reigns stood tall after a WrestleMania classic with CM Punk, but no one left Mania with more confidence than Fatu. Fresh off a win over Drew McIntyre, Fatu stomped into Monday Night Raw and challenged his cousin for the world title. Fatu has never challenged for a world title in WWE, but he’s looked every bit like a main eventer in his recent encounters with Reigns.

Also on Saturday night, more bad blood boils over when Seth Rollins takes on his former mentee Bron Breakker. Rollins was ex-communicated from the group he formed, The Vision, by Breakker and Bronson Reed. Now, after Breakker attacked Rollins during his WrestleMania match against Gunther, Rollins is out for his revenge.

There are three more matches currently scheduled for Saturday night, including one more title match. United States champion Trick Williams puts his title on the line against Sami Zayn. Williams won the title from Zayn at WrestleMania 42, but now must defeat him again in a rematch after Zayn murdered the Gingerbread man. Plus, the long-awaited match between Asuka and Iyo Sky is set to take place. The Japanese legends have feuded for months with many expecting them to clash at WrestleMania. Instead, WWE dragged the rivalry out a bit more and have it in a featured spot this weekend.

Take a look below at the verified matches for Backlash and take a glance at the crystal ball of what may come. The event streams live on ESPN Unlimited on Saturday with the main card starting at 6 p.m. ET.

2026 WWE Backlash matches

World Heavyweight Championship — Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jacob Fatu: Fatu is here to handle business. “The Samoan Werewolf” challenged his cousin to a world heavyweight title match. Reigns gave Fatu a chance to back out before ultimately agreeing to face him. However, it’s the defending champion who may want to reconsider after being physically big-brothered by his younger cousin.

Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker: The Rollins revenge tour continues. The estranged allies, previously teammates in The Vision, pick up where they left off after their injuries. Breakker returned at WrestleMania, costing Rollins his match with Gunther. They meet one-on-one six months after Breakker and Bronson Reed booted Rollins from The Vision.

United States Championship — Trick Williams (c) vs. Sami Zayn: WWE isn’t done with the Williams-Zayn feud. Williams granted his rival a rematch after Helluva Kicked Lil Yachty and tore Williams’ Gingerbread Man mascot to shreds.

Iyo Sky vs. Asuka: There’s a lot of history between Sky and Asuka. They’ve feuded on and off since last year, but their history dates back to before their WWE signings. Teammates in a faction called Triple Tails, Asuka has mentored Sky for well over a decade. They will compete at Backlash after Asuka cost Sky a women’s intercontinental match on Raw.

The Miz and Kit Wislon vs. Danhausen and TBD: Miz and Wilson have been feuding with Danhausen for months now. Danhausen put a curse on Miz after he disrespected him backstage and Miz has been trying to get revenge with his new protege Wilson. Danhausen even went to Miz’s home recently where hi-jinx ensued. Miz and Wilson got a bit of revenge with a beatdown of Danhausen postmatch recently, which led SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis to give Danhausen a match with the two at Backlash, so long as he can find a tag team partner.
