Two recent spy thrillers are making a major impact on streaming charts across the globe. Just days after a popular franchise expanded its presence on Netflix, these films quickly surged into the platform’s most-watched rankings, drawing attention for their sudden rise in global viewership.

Last two James Bond movies find huge success on Netflix streaming

As of January 22, 2026, No Time to Die ranked #4 globally on Netflix’s Top 10 movies list, with a popularity score of 314.

The film was the #1 movie in 20 countries, including Brazil, Peru, and Salvador. Spectre also entered the global Top 10 at position #7, with a popularity score of 155, and reached as high as #3 in Mauritius and #4 in France.

On January 21, 2026, Netflix added all James Bond films to its platform, excluding the 1967 version of Casino Royale starring David Niven. According to FlixPatrol, this release led to a surge in viewership for the franchise, placing both of the most recent entries in Netflix’s worldwide charts immediately after the drop.

No Time to Die marked Daniel Craig’s final appearance as James Bond. MGM released the film during the COVID-19 pandemic. It grossed $774.2 million worldwide against an estimated budget of $250–300 million. Spectre, released earlier, earned $880.7 million globally. It shares a similar budget range and holds a 63% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Amazon MGM Studios is developing the next installment in the franchise, James Bond 26. Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight will write the script. Dune director Denis Villeneuve will lead the project. The studio has not yet cast a new actor for the lead role.

FlixPatrol’s January 22, 2026 global data shows The Rip at #1. Kidnapped: Elizabeth Smart ranks second, and People We Meet on Vacation takes the third spot. Despite this, James Bond films appear prominently in multiple regions, signaling strong international engagement.
